These Smiley Face Treat Boxes wear the exact same expression we do when we receive free snacks. They’re sweet and easy and the perfect gift for party guests—whether they’re around the table or invited to participate in a video call. How to make Smiley Face Treat Boxes
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Craft knife and cutting board
Acrylic paint and brush
Round paper mache gift boxes (4″ wide by 2″ tall) from a craft store
Candies or other small gifts
Start by spray-painting all the treat boxes in your birthday party color palette. (Painting with a brush works too, but isn’t quite as speedy.)
Print the smiley face template onto card stock, and cut it out with a craft knife.
Hold the template on the box lids (or lightly tape it on with painter’s tape), and fill in the eyes and mouth with acrylic paint. Once you remove the template, you can use a finer brush to smooth out the lines, if that’s who you are.
Once it’s all dry, drop in a piece of tissue paper (you might need to cut it down) and fill the Smiley Face Treat Box with goodies.
Finish it all off by writing quick notes in your Just Because mini cards to let your guests know how much they mean to you.
