It’s Random Acts of Kindness Day—or week, depending on the source. We’d like to be those people who are randomly kind all the time, but sometimes a little nudge like a special day for it doesn’t hurt. And because when we think of being thoughtful, we go straight to “what sweet things can we make?” here are a few quick, easy Random Acts of Kindness crafts we love.
CUPCAKE PAPER CRAFTS
We might leave a few cupcake paper flowers for friends and strangers to find. Or make one of the garlands to welcome a coworker into her booth.
A GIFT THAT GROWS: HERB MUG
After a long winter, it’s so nice to come across something green and alive. A quick trip to a thrift store (or the basement) and a garden shop (or the grocery store), and we’re ready to go.
SEND A RANDOM CARD
All you need is a card, a pen, a stamp and an address. Day. Made.
CLAY PINCH POTS IN A CINCH
The sweetness factor here—it is high. Imagine leaving adorable tiny pots in not-too-hidden spots all over. Maybe they even have little treats or messages in them.
PAINTED WOOD BEAD NECKLACE
These are just pretty. And the tips in this how-to make choosing colors and designs super-cinchy.
GIVE A GIFT CARD
A gift card for a cup of coffee or a sandwich or an ice cream cone is thoughtful. But giving it in a little felt envelope adds that extra bit of love we’re looking for.
Perhaps you noticed lots of these ideas would be great for kids. Our good friend Cat S. has more ideas for teaching kindness from an early age.
