Pass the boos: Signature Halloween cocktails

Signature Halloween cocktails are the easiest way to make to your party guests feel like they’re at An Event. We looked to our Signature card collection for inspiration and—what a shock!—found plenty. Here are some recipes to try at your own spooky soiree.

The Signature cards behind our signature Halloween cocktails: Golden spider on black card with white web; white lace ghost attachment on orange card; fuschia card with green martini in striped-stem glass, with eyeball garnish

Three signature Halloween cocktails

The Signature card behind our signature Halloween cocktail, the Crawls-mopolitan: Golden spider on black card with white web (also shown, gold centipede and worm, small black spiders)

Signature Halloween Cocktails: Crawls-mopolitan (red-orange drink garnished with gold sugar rim and a golden spider charm, served in a traditional martini glass)

We turned the glittery gold spider pin attachment from this card into a cocktail glass charm. (You could get a similar—but decidedly less fancy—effect by spray painting plastic spider rings gold.)

The Signature card behind our signature Halloween cocktail, the Moscow Ghoul: orange card with a white lace-covered ghost and the word "BOO!"

Signature Halloween Cocktails: The Moscow Ghoul (lace-covered ghost attached to a copper and white straw stirring a drink in a frosty copper mug with a lime slice garnish)

Fitted with a copper and white straw, the lace-covered ghost makes an excellent swizzle stick. Make extras by tying lace squares over large cotton balls on top of straws or skewers, and add faces with felt or markers.

Moscow Ghoul

The Signature card behind our signature Halloween cocktail, the Apple of My Eye-tini: Shimmery fuschia card featuring and black-and-white-stripe-stemmed martini glass filled with green liquid, garnished with an eyeball on a black cocktail pick (includes the message "WISHING YOU GOOD SPIRITS")

Signature Halloween Cocktails: The Apple of My Eye-Tini (green liquid in a stemless martini glass, garnished with eyeball candy and billowing with dry ice smoke)

All we had to do to bring this card to life was find some edible eyeballs. (Thank you, internet.)

Apple of My Eye-tini

Ingredients

  • ice cubes
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1.5 oz sour apple liqueur
  • 1.5 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 piece gummy eyeball candy

Instructions

  1. Fill cocktail shaker halfway with ice.

  2. Add the vodka, apple liqueur, and lemon juice.

  3. Shake and strain into a martini glass.

  4. Add gummy eyeball, scream, and serve.

Pro tip:

Add some extra boo to your booze: a tiny chunk of dry ice will make the beverage bubble and smoke billow from the glass. Use tongs to add a small piece of food-quality dry-ice to each cocktail. (And warn guests not to drink it until the dry ice dissolves.)
