We’re coming right up on National Book Lovers Day (August 9), but you really don’t need an excuse to treat yourself to these adorable DIY animal bookmarks. Tuck one in your kiddo’s science textbook…use another to mark the day in your planner…and use the others in the page-turners you dig into anytime you get a spare moment.

It’s almost insulting to give you instructions on this one: Print them. Cut them out. Done.
But if you’re feeling fancy, you could also spray the back of your printout with adhesive and smooth some pretty fabric or wrapping paper over the back before you cut them out.
Want to make more fabulous bookmarks? Try these little tasseled numbers. We’ve got these ridiculously lovely bookplates, too. And while you’re browsing, check out all our back-to-school ideas.
