A nursery filled with fun, bright colors

Today, Hallmark designer Lindsay H. is sharing her daughter’s bright and fun nursery. Lindsay’s approach to decorating is to fill a room with color and pattern. Her little one’s nursery reflects that aesthetic with pops of neon and an amazing collection of art from fellow co-workers. Read on!

I’m a big fan of color and pattern, especially when it comes to decorating our home. After finding out I was pregnant, with our little girl, Avery, I couldn’t wait to start putting together a nursery for her, full of bright colors and fun patterns.

I had been seeing a lot of half-painted walls, and thought this would be the perfect room to try out the new trend. I picked the color peach, and loved the look.

The rug was the first thing I purchased for the room and adds a nice pop of neon. It’s also our Boston Terrier, Oliver’s favorite place to curl up for a nap.

Almost all of the artwork in the room was created by the incredibly talented Hallmark designers I get to work with every day, including Tuesday Spray and Kellie Bloxsom-Rys. Lisa Hadley and Allyson Lassiter fashioned the adorable handmade plush mermaids. Art Director Cece Merkle created the seahorse pillow and Heather Van Wyk crafted the amazing woodcut mobile. It makes the things in Avery’s room even more special since I know the love and care that was put into making them.
